PB wiki

During the session we were evaluating the PB Wiki. It has recently been updated and now you have to pay for certain things. I found it quite difficult to use, it did not seem very child friendly. When we found out how to upload a picture, we found that there were size restrictions. Also I found that if we wanted to add things to the Wiki it would not add them to it but would add the link, which you would then need to click on. I did not get as far to see how easy it would be to add users. Over all I did not like using this Wiki I did not find it easy to use and would not feel confident to use it with children.

ICT coordinator

The role of the ICT coordinator is to monitor and assess the ICT used throughout the school. They are allowed time to speak with the other teachers and also speak with the children, to see what ICT they have been using in class and what they enjoy and do not like using. They write the ICT policy for the school to follow, and create the ICT portfolio. They have to be aware of new and up to date software and ICT equipment that is available, as things can change very quickly. From experience in working in a school the ICT coordinator would also come around to each class every couple of weeks and clean and check the projectors and also would be in charge of all the batteries for whiteboard pens and bee bots etc.
